Creating a Rule in IMail
NOTE:Creating rules allows you to ensure that specific messages go to the           proper folder in your mailbox.

Let's say your Dad sent you some pictures from your parent's vacation in Maui, but for some reason our system tagged the email as SPAM. You know that he's going to be sending you more pictures and you want to avoid having it marked as SPAM again and have it sent through to your inbox.

You can set up a mail rule by following these steps:

Log Into Web Based Email
Log on through the web-based interface.

From the menu in the bottom left corner, select: Rules

To create a new rule click the New button.

Name the rule, for this example we'll use "From Dad".

Scroll down and press the Add.. button to specify the parameters of the rule.

In this case we want all email from dad to go to our inbox

You would set that up as follows: Where               From
Comparison   Contains
Search             dad@email.com

Once you have the parameters set the way you want them, push the Save & Close button at the top of the screen.

Action Type:  Move to mailbox
Target:             Main
(In this case the rule will move the email from the SPAM box to the
Main Mailbox, or Inbox.)

Once you have the target mailbox entered, push the Save button at the top of the screen.

Dad's emails will no longer hit the SPAM folder as your new rule has been added.
